This is an article on leadership (corporate and political) and the Gaulier clowning workshops that aspiring leaders are attending.... It's not amazing journalism; it is an insight in to the world of pleasure that you'll want to have.

  1. "The clown is the most complicit character. It is the slightly fumbling aristocrat, the person dancing like a fool at the edge of all risk. The clown is the character who engages our sympathies, who speaks for us, who says and does the unspeakable, the undoable -- and, in doing so, becomes a lightning rod for our emotions."

  2. There is something about the above quote that I like, and I think can a certain scapegoat status can be applied to the clown... the clown suffers ridicule so we (as audience) don't have to... much the same way as Paul's journey is made so we can find out the possible permutations of Social Networking?
