Paperain was the winner of Malthouse Theatre's 3D Fest, 2008 which saw LUE (Lust/Unchastity/Excess) meet with industry professionals in order to develop their skills even further.
Based in the 13 day turmoil of the Cuban Missile Crisis this physical theatre piece was created in order to comment on humanities obsession with its own end or 'apocalypse'. This was achieved by the characterisations of three 1960's housewives alongside the three male leaders responsible for the worlds near atomic end: Nikita Khruschev, J.F. Kennedy and Fidel Castro.
